Adapted from Will Eisner’s classic graphic novels, “The Spirit” follows Denny Colt (Gabriel Macht) as a street-hardened hero who returns from the grave and wears the mask of The Spirit. The visuals and cast of femme-fatals is impressive. But not even Scarlett Johansson, Eva Mendes, and Sarah Paulson can save this slow tempo movie.
